Our Management Team

Luc Villeneuve
President in the office of the Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Villeneuve is President of PCAS, responsible for the development and execution of the firm’s business strategy, including the company’s day-to-day operations. Before joining PharmaTrust as Chief Sales Officer, Mr. Villeneuve was President of NCR Europe, managing a $1.5- billion business in Europe, including approximately 2500 FTEs, with personnel and partners in more than 25 European countries. This role encompassed the overall responsibility for customer satisfaction, sales for solutions and services, client services delivery and marketing, and the management of all aspects of NCR Business in Europe. Prior to managing Europe, Mr. Villeneuve was President of NCR Canada where he turned around a non-performing business area of NCR. Before joining NCR, Mr. Villeneuve spent five years at Sun Microsystems Canada, as the Vice-President of Sales. During his career he has held senior executive sales and marketing positions at Digital Equipment Corp, BCE, GE Capital and CNC Global Limited. Mr. Villeneuve is bilingual and holds a business administration degree from Ottawa’s Algonquin College. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario's Marketing Management Executive Program in London and is a certified Six Sigma practitioner.

Loreto Grimaldi
Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Secretary
Mr. Grimaldi serves as the company’s Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Board Secretary, overseeing all legal aspects of the company’s global business initiatives. He is also currently responsible for Human Resources matters for the company. Previously, he was Vice-President (Law) at Symcor Inc., a Canadian-based international technology and BPO services company, where he was responsible for the commercial legal team and international expansion. Mr. Grimaldi spent seven years at Stikeman Elliott LLP, specializing in corporate, intellectual property, outsourcing and M&A matters. Mr. Grimaldi has extensive experience in the healthcare/pharmacy industries in Ontario, having advised pharmacies and other healthcare service providers. Mr. Grimaldi holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master’s of Business Administration from Toronto’s Schulich School of Business, and an LLB from the University of Western Ontario. Mr. Grimaldi is fluent in French and Italian, and is an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at the Schulich School of Business.

Gerald Gradwell
Chief Corporate Development and Corporate Affairs Officer
Mr. Gradwell supports the CEO in drawing up and delivering the corporate expansion strategy for the firm; assists the Vice-Chairman as Executive Vice-President, Investor Relations, and co-ordinates the firm’s external messaging across the various corporate affairs functions (investor relations, government relations and public affairs). He joined the firm from Alliance Boots, Europe’s largest pharmacy operator and pharmaceutical distributor, where he was responsible for investor relations and worked directly for the Executive Chairman, alongside the global corporate development and strategy team. Prior to this Mr. Gradwell worked as a senior Investor and financial communications consultant, management consultant, investment banker and stock broker. He started his career as a broker at the London Stock Exchange and has experience in both investor relations and corporate development throughout Europe, the Americas, the Far East and sub-Saharan Africa. Mr. Gradwell is registered as a broker/securities officer in the U.K., Canada and the United States and is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute of the U.S., the Canadian Investor Relations Institute, the U.K. Investor Relations Society and is a Fellow of the U.K. Institute of Directors.

Steve Gesner
Chief Information Officer
Mr. Gesner leads the Technology group and is responsible for its overall direction. Mr. Gesner was previously employed as: Chief Technology Officer for TD Bank worldwide; Executive Vice-President and Chief Information Officer of Resolve Corporation. He was also a Member of the Board of Directors for the Ontario Smart Systems for Health Agency (SSHA, an agency of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the first organization to offer common IT products and services that allow healthcare providers across Ontario to quickly and securely share patient information.) Mr. Gesner is a former executive with Ford Motor Company of Canada and TD Financial Group and a former Board Member of the Canadian Payments Association.

James Egan
Chief Manufacturing and Drug Operations Officer
Mr. Egan leads the Company’s Global Drug Operations and Deployment Group and is also responsible for the Manufacturing and Supply Chain for the PharmaTrust MedCenters and other Product Lines. As a founder of CIMTEK Inc., he was responsible for strategic partnerships and alliance development as well as the firm’s technology and global marketing strategy. He began his career as a systems engineer with Hewlett Packard where he was acknowledged for several innovations and customer strategy development. Mr. Egan has a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario

Kym Anthony
Chairman
Mr. G.F. Kym Anthony is an experienced and successful capital markets executive with over 30 years in the financial services and investment banking industries. He rose through the senior executive ranks of CIBC and its investment bank unit, Wood Gundy. He later became the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of TD Securities and a Vice-Chair of TD Bank, where he led the creation and development of TD Securities. Mr. Anthony was also the President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank Financial, the investment banking and capital markets unit of National Bank of Canada for six years and CEO of Dundee Securities. Mr. Anthony has held a number of senior positions in the financial services industry, including being Chair of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada, and serves on several corporate and nonprofit boards. Mr. Anthony is also currently Executive Chair of Broadacre Agriculture and DFG Investment Advisors, Chairman of Prometic Life Sciences and a board member of ComDev International. Mr. Anthony received his BA from Simon Fraser University and his MBA in 1980 from the University of Western Ontario where he was the gold medallist.

Donald Waugh
Vice Chairman and Co-Founder
Mr. Waugh was previously responsible for leading the strategic direction of the company. Prior to the startup of PCAS in 2006, he had built three successful technology companies - Quasametrics, a developer of storage systems for the computer market place founded in 1994; Coolwater Ltd., an Internet access and marketing company, whose clients included Royal Bank of Canada, JVC Canada and Echoworx Corporation, a pioneer in secure email technology founded in 2000. In addition to his current responsibilities with PCAS, Mr. Waugh is Chairman of the Board of Applied Recognition Inc., a company that specializes in the application of face-recognition technology. He began his career as a Certified Management Accountant and was involved in overseas development work for the International Development Research Centre before becoming Chief Financial Officer of the Institute for Space and Terrestrial Research.

Farouk Ahamed, CA, ICD.D
Director
Mr. Ahamed is President of ADF Invescap Inc and provides transactional advisory services to growth oriented companies on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financings, recapitalizations and shareholder value improvement. Mr. Ahamed is a retired partner of Ernst & Young LLP and Senior Vice President of Ernst & Young Orenda Corporate Finance Inc. with over 30 years of financial and transaction advisory experience. He graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University (Hons. BBA 1980), obtained his CA designation in 1983 and the ICD.D in 2010. Mr. Ahamed has completed the Executive Development Program at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and the Harvard Business School Executive Education Program. He is currently the Chair of the Board of Governors of Wilfrid Laurier University, on the board of Gore Mutual Insurance Company and on the Dean's Advisory Council for Wilfrid Laurier University's School of Business and Economics. Mr. Ahamed's other community service involvements have included serving on the boards of the Freeport Hospital, the Social Planning Council of K-W, the Waterloo-Wellington CA Association and His Highness Aga Khan Council and Economic Planning Board, Ontario.

Jim P. McClocklin
Director
Mr. McClocklin has many years of experience in the financial services industry and has held senior executive positions in the banking, trust, mortgage financing, commercial lending and brokerage community. He is currently Director and Governor of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and is on the Board of Governors of St. Andrew's College. After graduating from Cornell University as president of his year, Mr. McClocklin achieved success in many corporate and entrepreneurial companies. Mr. McClocklin was Chairman and Co-Founder of Harrington Lane Inc., a global consulting firm in the High Net Worth Market. The firm developed the CECAP process for continuing education on behalf of the IDA for Canada. Prior to forming Harrington Lane, Mr. McClocklin was a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch Canada, and became Senior Vice President of Training and Development at CIBC Wood Gundy. Since leaving his position as Executive Vice President and Co-Head Retail of Dundee Securities in 2008, he became Chairman and Co-Founder of Linell Capital Inc., a Canadian based private equity finance company. Mr. McClocklin has a strong business focus on strategic and tactical planning, compliance, corporate governance and business plan execution. Known for his integrity, professionalism and commitment to excellence he has lectured at various institutions including Simon Fraser University in their GAWM, MBA program.
